- Parent/Carer Engagement: Parent and carer meetings were held recently to discuss important updates (see below for an overview).
- Enterprise Success: The student-run market stall at Kirkgate Market was a great success, with participation from all pathways.
- New Garden Completed: The garden at the South site is now finished, providing a wonderful outdoor space enjoyed daily by students and staff.

Parent/Carer Meeting Updates:
- Pathways Model: From September, education and adult social care pathways will be delivered separately to better meet individual needs. Education students will have personal tutor groups each morning; ASC students’ sessions will be led by their usual teams. Pastoral Coordinators will continue to support all students.
- Lunches: Due to rising student numbers and kitchen space limits, a packed lunch policy will start from September 3rd. The school will contact families affected most by this change.
- Academic Calendar: The new calendar will be emailed and hard copies provided at the start of term.
- Parent/Carer Survey: Feedback is welcome via the recent survey (look for a text from ‘Janet’).
- Recruitment: Support staff vacancies (term-time and full-time) are open—refer interested candidates to the FHL website, Facebook, or contact directly.
- Fundraising: As a registered charity, FHL is seeking new fundraising opportunities to enhance resources. Suggestions are welcome!
- Transitions Support: The Transitions Manager, Sharon, is available to help families as young people move to their next stage.
Thank you to all parents and carers for your ongoing support.
