Welcome to the Summer Term at Future Horizons Leeds! We hope everyone enjoyed a restful Easter break and made the most of the sunshine. With the warmer weather here, we’re looking forward to getting out and about even more, with a fantastic line-up of activities and learning opportunities for all our learners.
Here’s what’s coming up this term:
- Summer Enterprise Fair: Our students will be showcasing and selling their brilliant enterprise products at Kirkstall Market. More details to follow!
- Celebration Days: Dates to be confirmed for each pathway—please keep an eye on your diaries.
- All Pathway Picnic: A wonderful chance for everyone to come together and enjoy the outdoors.
- Barge Trips: We’ll be heading out on the water at Shepley Bridge Marina.
As always, we’re here to support our learners and families. In September, many of our students will be moving on to the next stage of their journey—whether that’s Adult Social Care, Supported Living, or Further Education. If you have any questions about transitions, please contact Sharon Rhodes, our Student Recruitment and Transitions Manager, at [email protected] or call 0113 274 7894.
Dates for your diary:
- 5th May: Bank Holiday
- 26th–30th May: Half Term
- 2nd June: Staff Training Day
- 22nd July: End of Term
Polite reminders:
- Please ensure your young person comes to college with suitable clothing for the weather and the activities they’ll be doing.
- If your young person has experienced sickness or diarrhoea, please keep them off college for 48 hours after symptoms have cleared, to help prevent the spread of infection.
- Please let us know as soon as possible if your young person is unable to attend college for any reason.
- There is an attached letter regarding sun cream application and support during warmer weather.
Stay up to date with your young person’s progress and achievements (and see some fabulous photos!) by visiting our Parent Portal:
