Towards Employability

Our Towards Employability Programme supports young people with a wide range of learning needs who are developing the skills, confidence and knowledge they need for their next steps into adulthood. Whether their future involves further education, a Supported Internship, employment, volunteering or increased independence, this programme helps each learner prepare for a meaningful and fulfilling adult life.

Learners follow a structured, vocationally focused timetable that includes work-related learning, employability skills, English and Maths, and a strong Preparation for Adulthood curriculum. Each young person takes part in community activities, College-based sessions, and meaningful work experience or placements that reflect their interests and aspirations.

The programme also supports personal and social development, including communication, relationships and wellbeing, helping learners build the confidence needed to take an active role in planning their future.

Progress is tracked through Databridge, with parents and carers able to view updates through their own secure portal.

The Towards Employability Programme empowers young people to move towards work, volunteering and greater independence, enabling them to contribute to their community and enjoy a confident, purposeful adult life.
